Kannikka is a native of Raleigh, NC and currently resides in Garner, NC. She is the daughter of Etta Eaton, a current CLF ministry partner and the late Anthony Staton. Kannikka desires nothing more than to fulfill the will of GOD, daily, in her personal and professional life because she knows that if she “commit thy works unto the LORD…, thy thoughts shall be established,” Proverbs 16:3. Kannikka has two children, Jahsie, her son, and Myjère, her daughter, who, like her, are invested in the Kingdom of GOD.
Ever since she was an elementary school student, Kannikka has known that she wanted to help others in a big way. This led her down a career path to becoming a teaching professional of the Durham Public School System and the Wake County Public School System. To Kannikka, this was one of the most effective ways to help others that make up the beautiful diverse complex GOD has created on Earth. In her mind helping the youth of today breeds change for tomorrow for both students and families. Currently, Kannikka has a B.A. degree in elementary education with a concentration in mathematics, as well as a M.S. degree in curriculum, instruction, and assessment. Kannikka’s experience while teaching has afforded her the opportunity to meet and learn from an array of individuals and families. It is, in part, through these 12 years of experiences that GOD has allowed her to develop an open mind to the cultural contexts of others and remain compassionate when dealing with others.
Kannikka considers it a great honor to be a part of the CLF vessel GOD has breathed HIS breath of life into. She looks forward to feeding, leading, and taking part in the great commission with those GOD places in her path and the path of her church family at CLF.
